Work Hours

Work will typically occur 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday as well as occasionally on Saturday and Sunday. Night work may also occur on Carpenter Road and during certain construction activities requiring 24-hour work such as drilling foundation piers.

What to Expect During Construction

Traffic delays, detours and typical construction-related noise and dust.

  • Temporary closure of Carpenter Road may occur on occasion from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday – Friday with a detour to Ruble Road.
  • Lane restrictions may also occur to allow for construction of approach embankments on each side of the San Joaquin River with one-way traffic control and onsite flaggers.

Detour information will be made available prior to closure.

Access for local property owners will be maintained throughout construction and road closure near properties will be coordinated on an individual basis.

Public safety access will be maintained at all times.
